Pelosi laughs as she admits she wants to raise your taxes, but don’t worry, it’ll be in a ‘bipartisan way’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi admitted she would like to raise taxes and roll back tax cuts passed by Republicans in December 2017 at a Politico Live event Tuesday morning.

When asked by Politico’s Jake Sherman if she would like to institute a single-payer health care program and raise taxes, Pelosi responded by saying, “well the second part there is accurate, I do think we should revisit tax legislation in a way we always have, in a bipartisan, transparent way. I do object to what they did in the dark of night and speed of light.”

The House minority leader has continued to face calls for her resignation from her Democratic colleagues.
