Special counsel Robert Mueller is a Bogus Investigation King sitting on a throne of lies. That’s what Congressman Devin Nunes suggested when he revealed that there was no “actual intelligence” that spawned Mueller’s investigation into the fruitless Trump-Russia probe.
“We now know that there was no official intelligence that was used to start this investigation,” Nunes told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo. “We know that [Hillary ally] Sidney Blumenthal and others were pushing information to the [Obama] State Department.”
Devin Nunes — the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee — said after he and his colleagues reviewed the “electronic communication” documents used by the Obama FBI and Justice Department, they discovered there was no “actual intelligence” that was used to jump-start Robert Mueller’s investigation of alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
The expensive, taxpayer-funded probe — which has produced no evidence of collusion after a year — was launched entirely on the basis of partisan innuendo by Hillary Clinton operatives like Sidney Blumenthal, Nunes said.
“We do know that longtime associates of Hillary Clinton, including Sidney Blumenthal and another person, were actively giving information to the [Obama] State Department that was somehow making its way to the FBI,” Nunes said. “This is from two people within the State Department who have now publicly come out and said this in major news publications. We know this was at least from at least two witnesses who have publicly said this.”
So the Obama Justice Department was weaponized for partisan political reasons to illegally spy on Donald Trump and his associates when they were private citizens in order to keep Trump from getting elected president.
When Congressman Nunes learned that the Democratic Party (which had rigged their primary election for Hillary) had filed a lawsuit last week against the Trump campaign and Wikileaks for “meddling” in the 2016 election, he literally laughed out loud at the absurdity and hypocrisy.
“My first thought is that is this some kind of joke. This must be a joke!” Nunes said.
We know who colluded with Russians [and it was the DNC]. They don’t want to admit that they colluded with Russians, but they hired Fusion GPS. They hired a law firm that hired Fusion GPS that hired a British spy that colluded with Russians. So I don’t understand why they didn’t just file a lawsuit against themselves. They should sue themselves so they can get to the bottom of what they have on their servers. Why didn’t they give those servers to the FBI?”
Nunes continued: “This is nothing more than a continuation of fundraising off of this [fake] scandal. This is made to play to the Far Left in this country…The media has continued this narrative…We’ve now looked at all of this and none of that is true. But the Democrats need a way to keep their base motivated to turn out in November and they need a way to continue to raise money. And they’re raising millions and millions and millions of dollars to target Republicans over this [fake] Russia fiasco.”
