Actress Natalie Portman claims she has “100 stories” of sexual abuse in Hollywood.
Portman, 36, shared her own sexual abuse and harassment stories about Hollywood, reported The Telegraph Monday. The actress recalled that she was once invited into a private plane by an unnamed producer with one bed made up. Portman now describes the incident as “really unacceptable and manipulative.”
“I went from thinking, ‘I don’t have a story’ to ‘Oh, wait, I have 100 stories.’ And I think a lot of people are having these reckonings with themselves,” Portman said in an interview with PORTER Magazine.
Portman is an outspoken supporter of the anti-sexual harassment Time’s Up initiative and the #MeToo movement. Portman, while presenting the best director award during the 2018 Golden Globes, pointed out that all the nominees were male, reported CNN.
The popular actress has also talked about “sexual terrorism,” based on feeling that she needed to cover up her body to get respect during the Los Angeles Women’s March on Jan. 21.
