Forget the “racism accusations”… President Trump has done more for Haiti than the Clintons.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., defended the president on the Sunday edition of NBC’s “Meet the Press.” The lawmaker dismissed charges of racism and revealed that Trump financed a medical mission in which Paul performed surgeries on 200 Haitians.

Paul, an ophthalmologist, told NBC’s Chuck Todd the president provided funding for the mission trip before taking office.

The Kentucky senator said:

“It is unfair to draw conclusions from a remark that I think wasn’t constructive is the least we can say and I think it is unfair to all of a sudden, paint him, well, he’s a racist, when I know for a fact he cares very deeply about the people in Haiti because he helped to finance a trip, we were able to give vision back for 200 people in Haiti.”

Paul also argued the racism accusations are preventing a deal from being reached between Democrats and Republicans on the issue of immigration.

“You can’t have an immigration compromise if everyone is out there calling the president a racist,” he asserted. “They’re actually destroying the setting… in which anything meaningful can happen on immigration.”

President Trump has denied using the term “s—hole” in describing Haiti and African nations during a White House meeting on immigration with lawmakers.

Ivana Trump was asked if her ex-husband is a racist. Her answer’s about to be fodder for the haters.

Republican senators David Perdue and Tom Cotton, as well as Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, who were present at the meeting, have said they did not hear the president say the phrase.

“S—holegate” is turning out to be just another liberal outrage of the week.
