Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
Lest we forget, here are the Obama administration’s many assaults on Christianity during what felt like a never-ending eight years.

Forcing Christians to fund abortion-causing drugs
During the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, Obama’s HHS issued a mandate that required most employer health plans to cover “all FDA-approved forms of contraception,” including some abortifacients.
The HHS mandate made it extremely difficult for many religious employers and organization to get exemptions, most famously the Roman Catholic religious order Little Sisters of the Poor.

Fortunately, two critical Supreme Court rulings limited Obama’s oppression of pro-lifers.
Supporting the nation-wide adoption of gay marriage
Four years before the Supreme Court case that required the recognition of same-sex marriages throughout the country, Obama–who ran for president as a firm believer in traditional man-woman marriage only–laid the groundwork for the major cultural shift.

The former community organizer in 2011 instructed then-Attorney General Eric Holder to stop defending Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), a federal law signed by Bill Clinton.
Section 3 of DOMA federally defined marriage as “only the legal union of one man and one woman as husband and wife.” Section 2 protected states from being forced to recognize other states’ same-sex relationships as marriage.
Letting men into the girl’s restroom

The Obama Department of Education used a progressive interpretation of Title IX to justify its attempt to coerce public schools into adopting radical transgender policies, including requiring them to allow men into female restrooms and locker rooms.
Corrupting the military
In 2011, Obama allowed homosexuals to serve openly in the military for the first time in the nation’s history. His Pentagon allowed chaplains to perform same-sex marriages at military facilities–even though it was a violation of DOMA at the time.

Also in 2011, the Department of Veterans Affairs was accused by three different organizations–including the VFW and American Legion–of banning the words “God” and “Jesus” during funerals at Houston National Cemetery.
Another first: under Obama, the Pentagon let service members wear their uniforms at a gay pride parade.
While the military restricted expressions of Christianity during Obama’s presidency, he oversaw the payment of $80,000 for a worship center for pagans, druids, witches, and Wiccas at the Air Force Academy.
Attacking Biblical values
Obama’s Justice Department defunded a Louisiana Young Marines chapter because their oath mentioned God.

His administration forgave student loans in exchange for public service, but ceased loan forgiveness if the service was religious in nature.
Obama appointed Barbara Stain, a transgender man, to the Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.
Despite providing funding for a variety of sex education programs in American schools, the Obama White House cut funding for 176 abstinence-based education programs.
Slighting Christian leaders
Obama thrice nominated pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican. All were rejected by the Roman Catholic capital.

Pastor Louie Giglio was pressured to back down from offering the prayer at Obama’s second Inauguration after it was discovered he once preached a sermon supporting traditional marriage.
Franklin Graham had his invitation to the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer event rescinded due to complaints from Muslims.
A soft spot for Islam
The military burned unsolicited Bibles sent to Afghanistan, but Obama apologized to Afghanistan after the military burned copies of the Koran.

While a Christian church was denied permission to build near Ground Zero, Obama openly advocated for the construction of a mosque in the area.
The Obama administration ordered the purging of national security strategy documents to remove terms offensive to Muslims, including “jihad,” “terrorists,” and “radical Islamic.”
Conclusion

Just living another day without Obama in office is plenty to be thankful for. Let’s pray America doesn’t make that mistake again.
