It’s possible that decades of liberal indoctrination have effectively short-circuited the minds of our nation’s youth.
Millennials around the country are swept up in recording themselves performing a dangerous new challenge in which they eat washing tablets.
Can’t handle vodka? The only logical thing to do is chase with pods @amherstbarstool
Known as the “Tide Pod Challenge,” the trend involves biting into Tide laundry pods to release the liquid soap or powdered detergent–which can be extremely harmful if ingested.
Dr. Alfred Aleguas Jr., managing director of the Florida Poison Information Center in Tampa, spoke to Maxim about the dangers of consuming laundry detergent:
“Swallowing even a small amount of the highly-concentrated detergent found in pods can cause diarrhea and vomiting.
“In some cases, some of the detergent could even find its way into the lungs and cause breathing difficulties.”
Many internet users mocked the challenge and the people who go through with it.
This isn’t the first time teens participate in a health hazardous viral challenge.
In August, an eight-year-old Florida girl died after trying a variation of the “hot water” challenge in which she drank boiling water through a straw. Others who performed the trend doused themselves in scalding hot water.
Another challenge from last year, known as the “fire challenge” involved lighting oneself on fire.

If these young people are the future, tomorrow looks bleak for America.
