The second woman who has accused Democrat Minnesota Sen. Al Franken of harassing her is ready to tell her story.
Melanie Morgan, a former radio talk show host and co-founder of news website Media Equalizer, said that the future senator “stalked and harassed” her after the two appeared together on Bill Maher’s former television show “Politically Incorrect” in 2000.
The accusations came hours after former Playboy model Leeann Tweeden accused Franken of sexual assault against her during a USO tour in 2006.
Morgan recounted, on her own website, that she and Franken got into it over the “mundane” issue of the budget numbers from the Office of Management and Budget, and he could not let it go.
“I made a statement about the budget numbers, Franken challenged me, I challenged him back,” Morgan wrote. “It was about spending priorities, actually just a mundane discussion. But he obsessed over it.”
““He approached me backstage, angrily called me out on those numbers and insisted he would prove he was right. He wouldn’t leave me alone, he kept following me. As a woman, his presence and proximity to me felt very threatening and intimidating.
“I didn’t realize his creepy behavior after the show meant it would continue in the days to come,” Morgan said.
Franken then asked the show’s producer for Morgan’s phone number, which is when the harassment got even creepier, according to Morgan.

“I had thought that was the end of the story and was shocked when he started calling my home, badgering me repeatedly.
“I became fearful and called Carol (the “Politically Incorrect” producer) to complain and asked her to tell him to back off. But he made another call after that. I thought that he might end up stalking me at my home in Northern California, it was that bad.
“By the third phone call I was outraged and terrified, as he is really disturbed,” she said.
Morgan said that Franken finally stopped harassing her, but only after she threatened to “call the police” and report his harassment.
She added that she believes every word of Tweeden’s account of Sen. Franken’s assault of her.
In addition to a photo that showed the future senator grabbing her breasts while she was sleeping, Tweeden said that he wrote a script in which he would have to kiss her, insisted on practicing the skit, and then forcibly kissed her.
Sen. Franken will now be the subject of a Senate Ethics Committee investigation, as calls for him to resign have grown, and Morgan may still get her revenge on the senator.

“I will happily testify before the Senate Ethics Committee, should a hearing be held regarding Franken’s behavior,” she said.
