‘They should be worried’: Trump threatens North Korea as he meets with ‘warrior nation’ on Asia trip

President Donald Trump has a message for North Korea and any backers of the rogue regime.

Be afraid.

Before his trip to Asia the president called Japan a “warrior nation” and suggested that it may eventually lash out over the belligerence of Pyongyang.

“They should be worried,” Trump said in regards to Japan in an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham. “You know, they’re very close [in proximity] to North Korea.”

But, he insinuated, that it is North Korea and its supporters in China who ought to be worried.

“I tell China, and I tell everyone else that listens, I mean, you’re going to have yourself a big problem with Japan pretty soon if you allow this to continue with North Korea.”

The president remained positive about a political solution to the North Korean threat and was optimistic about his Asian trip in which he will visit South Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines.

“I think a lot of good things are going to happen. I think it’s a very important trip. I think this is one of the more important trips that a president has made,” he said.

President Trump will also make a stop in Hawaii on Friday and visit the U.S.S. Arizona memorial. The Arizona was destroyed in the attack on Pearl Harbor and 1,102 of its 1,177 crew members were killed.
