Marvel announces its first bisexual superhero will appear in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. No, it’s what?

Marvel comics has announced it will be bringing its first bisexual superhero to the big screen in “Thor: Ragnarok.”

The hero, Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson, is bisexual in the all female comic book “Fearless Defenders.”

She is described by Pink News as “a badass warrior who will be a Han Solo type – that is, a dashing, flawed renegade of a hero.”

Why the sexuality of a fictional superhero is relevant to a comic book or a movie is anyone’s guess.

Not all fans are thrilled with the idea of a bisexual superhero, but Thompson does not care.

“She’s bi. And yes, she cares very little about what men think of her. What a joy to play!” she responded to one angry fan.

Bisexual and doesn’t care about men? If the superhero thing doesn’t work out she can get a job hosting a prime time MSNBC show.
