Time to take a high school civics class, Cory.
Since retiring from his anchor desk, Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume has become adept at tweaking the noses of the intellectually deprived, the illogically incensed and the politically uninformed.
His latest target was Sen. Cory Booker. No fly-off-the-handle firebrand is he, the New Jersey Democrat announced that he’s content to wait until the proof is in before casting judgment on the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
During an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union” Sunday, Booker went through a litany of concerns he had with the current administration but countered them with a cautionary tone.

“I just want to tell you, I’m not going to rush to impeachment,” he told Bash at about 6:15 into the interview. “I think we need to deal with this in a very sobered way.”
Although his constituents no doubt applaud his level-headedness, he’s apparently confused as to how impeachment works. No matter. Hume was available to set him on the straight and narrow.
I wonder if he even knows he couldn’t “rush to impeachment” if he tried since impeachment is a function of the House. https://t.co/LaxGMc7V7U

Boom! Hume called it on the money. The House votes to impeach, then afterward the Senate votes on conviction. It’s not the other way around.
Aww, and he sounded so sincere in that interview. But others on social media thought him an imbecile — and typical of what Washington has to offer, at least on the Democratic side of the aisle.

@brithume @rust_ideas I wonder if the Dems even realize that if their dream came true & Trump was impeached that there would STILL be a Republican president? LOL

@brithume @rust_ideas I am so tired of DRAMAcrats and their petty politics.

@brithume “Bookered.” Rhymes with “snookered”.

And snookered he was. Hume has also recently snookered The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol, A-List actress Meryl Streep and former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, to name a few.
