Befuddled Schumer beclowns himself when he can’t name ONE Dem who can beat Trump in 2020

MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt presented Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer with this simple question Friday, and he appeared to be stumped.

Schumer was unable to come up with a single name.

“Lots of people,” the New York Democrat answered at first, but Hunt wasn’t satisfied — she wanted specifics.

“I’m not going to pick a name,” he said. “But if he continues at the rate–”

“Who’s the leader of the Democratic Party?” Hunt interrupted. “You?”

“We have a bunch of leaders,” he waffled. “You know, I certainly am the leader of the Senate, and I try to represent the Democratic Party, but we have a lot of good voices.”

Is the name Tom Perez, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, too tough to remember?

Schumer may have been squirming, but Twitter thought it hilarious.
