The Democratic Party has a colossal flag drop, and no one notices

Everything you need to know about the Democratic Party was on display earlier this week when Democratic National Chairman Tom Perez was being interviewed by MSNBC’s Joy Reid.

In the middle of the interview a large American flag went crashing to the floor. Although it made a deafening racket when it hit, it didn’t seem to faze Price, who took no notice of it at all.

Neither of them skipped a beat.

Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Code provides in paragraph (b) that: “The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.”

Whoever did the half-baked job of securing the flag should review flag protocol to make sure it never happens again.

Still, we should be thankful that the Democrats are making any effort to display Old Glory at all. There was nary a flag in existence when the Democratic National Convention opened last year.

Poor flag etiquette seems to be a hallmark for the left. During a photo shoot for Variety early this year, a group of Hollywood celebrities stood proudly in front of a U.S. flag — that was draped on the floor.

Folks on social media saw a lot of symbolism in that clip.
