Meanwhile, Obama quietly delays the deportation of more than 56K illegal immigrants…

So much for the Obama administration’s highly publicized intentions to rush cases tied to the 2014 Central American immigrant “surge” through the courts in an attempt to deter more from coming into the United States illegally.

That’s not going to happen, and why should it? After all, isn’t their stated goal to attain that permanent “Democratic majority” by bringing in as many Third World immigrants as they can possibly get away with?

In fact, the New York Times reports that the Obama administration is actually delaying deportation proceedings for more than 56,000 recent Central American immigrants for several years. Some even get to hang out here until 2023, when they’ll likely have a few “anchor babies” in tow and a sympathetic judge who doesn’t want to “break up families.”

In other words, if the Democrats have their way, these folks are here for good.

According to Justice Department figures, this amounts to around a quarter of the total number of Central Americans who arrived here during the 2014 surge.

And the reason? Why, it’s a “cost-saving” measure, don’t cha know. Federal officials say that, since immigrants who are supposed to be enrolled in an electronic monitoring program often fail to report to be fitted with GPS ankle bracelets, the government actually saves a daily fee of $4 to $8 a person in monitoring fees.

Since the government is now saving all this money, they’ve pushed back the immigrants’ cases for years, some as late as 2023.

And to make matters worse, the number of Central American immigrants expected this year will exceed 2014, according to Department of Homeland Security estimates.

Here’s a cost-saving idea — how about just sending them home and building a wall to keep them from coming here in the first place?
