Some questions just don’t have a good answer. Like, can God make a rock so big even he can’t move it? Are we alone in the universe? Who killed Jimmy Hoffa? Or what the hell did Hillary Clinton actually accomplish while she was secretary of state?
Clinton alone could fill up a phone book with these types of questions, of course (I could think of 33,000 of them right off-hand), and she knows it — which is why the woman only gives one press conference every dozen years or so, and that’s only if the Ouija board tells her it’s OK.
That hasn’t stopped her surrogates from giving it the ole’ college try though, as evidenced by Michigan Democratic Rep. Debbie Dingell’s interview Tuesday with CNN’s Chris Cuomo.
When asked to name one, just one foreign policy accomplishment from her hero’s time as secretary of state, Dingell was truly stumped, and even seemed confused about what a secretary of state actually does, other than getting on planes and bringing people together, or something along those lines.
“You know … she was an outstanding secretary of state. She worked on issues from one side of the world to the other, Dingell said. “She got on that plane and she brought people together, and in the [Middle] East, it’s one of the most volatile regions of the country. I know it, because I’m living in Dearborn, Michigan, which has the largest population of Muslims. There are difficult times, but she has the trust and respect of the leaders of those the leaders of those countries.”
Don’t worry, Debbie. Liberal pundits will spend the next hundred years trying to figure out the answer to THAT one!
