Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., says the United States is facing a daunting threat, but it’s not radical Islamic terrorism.
Following the Orlando terrorist attack, Sanders held a press conference in Washington, where he said climate change was still the number one national security threat facing the country.

“Climate Change is the major crisis facing our country,” Sanders said. “And our entire planet, and yet we have not done anywhere near enough what we have to do to take on the fossil fuel industry and transform our energy system away from coal and oil and gas in order to save the planet.”
Sanders also said that the entire Islamic faith was not to blame for the attack. Watch Sanders’ full speech here:
