Somehow, the Rolling Stones are making their way into this election cycle.
During a press conference in Indiana today, Sen. Ted Cruz R-Tx compared GOP front-runner Donald Trump to the famous rock band’s front-man Mick Jagger, according to a report by Gateway Pundit.
“Donald Trump likes to parachute in like Mick Jagger, show up at a football stadium, give some performance and then leave,” Cruz said. “Well, this country isn’t a reality show.”
Cruz also invoked the state’s Indiana University Bloomington basketball team, the Hoosiers, comparing himself to their athletic stamina.
“Heidi and I, we are barnstorming the state,” Cruz said. “We’re on a bus tour traveling throughout the state, to look voters in the eyes, to answer their questions, to show some humility. Subject yourself to scrutiny of Hoosiers.”
