Trump warns groups like Antifa could face ‘big trouble’ if opposition ever decided to ‘mobilize’

Members of the violent Antifa group should be careful about whom they antagonize, lest they one day accidentally target victims much “tougher” and “more violent” than them, the president has warned.

These people, like the Antifa … they better hope that the opposition to Antifa decides not to mobilize, because if they do, they’re much tougher, much stronger, potentially much more violent,” President Donald Trump said during an interview on Wednesday with The Daily Caller.

“And Antifa’s going to be in big trouble. But so far they haven’t done that, and that’s a good thing,” he added, noting that opponents of the left-wing terror group include cops and the military.

“The other side is the military, it’s the police, it’s a lot of very strong, a lot of very tough people,” he explained. “Tougher than them. And smarter than them. And they’re sitting back and watching and they’re getting angrier and angrier.”

Earlier this year members of Antifa smashed out the windows of a U.S. Marine Corps recruiting office during a violent protest in Berkeley, California.

The president made these remarks during a discussion with The Daily Caller about the harassment and vandalism faced last week by the conservative news site’s founder, Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

“I spoke to Tucker, and I think Tucker’s a great guy ,and I think it’s terrible — they were actually trying to break down the door,” Trump said.

Last week a crowd of left-wing thugs affiliated with the extremist group Smash Racism D.C. congregated outside the host’s home and proceeded to harass his wife, who’d been home alone.

Tucker later explained that he received a call from his horrified wife around 6 pm on Nov. 7 while at his desk at work. She told him that someone had tried to break through the front door.

“She had been in the kitchen alone getting ready to go to dinner and she heard pounding on the front door and screaming,” he said “Someone started throwing himself against the front door and actually cracked the front door.”

Frightened for her life, she than locked herself in the pantry and reportedly dialed the authorities. Luckily for both for her and her husband, their four children weren’t home at the time.

While it’s unclear if Smash Racism D.C. is linked to Antifa, both groups are part of a growing cabal of left-wing organizations that utilize fascist techniques to intimidate those with differing political views.

Trump’s point was that if these groups aren’t careful, they’ll eventually wind up accidentally picking on the wrong target, i.e., someone or some group much stronger than it.

While members of the military and law enforcement aren’t allowed to attack left-wing extremists all willy nilly, the president seemed to insinuate that a day may come when one of them loses his or her temper and chooses to fight back.

The most they’ve done so far is use legal crowd control techniques to keep Antifa in control.

One example may be seen below:

The left’s response to the president’s rhetoric has been to accuse him of ginning up violence and equating him to deceased Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

Look:

The left has a proven tendency of excusing or defending left-wing violence and fascism, all while accusing conservatives of engaging in the violence that its side is infamous for.

The response from conservatives on Twitter was unanimous agreement that Antifa needs to be dealt with, though there was disagreement on how exactly this should be handled.
