Fox News poll: Attack on Kavanaugh worked. Voter support drops. Record number believe accuser, would not confirm

Support for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the high court has dropped since August, a new poll by Fox News has found.

Last month 45 percent of respondents supported his confirmation, while 46 percent opposed it. The latest poll by Fox found that only 40 percent of respondents now support his confirmation, while a notable 50 percent plurality oppose it.

The poll similarly found that 36 percent of respondents believe the accusations of accuser Christine Blasey Ford, who claims without evidence that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her during a high school party decades ago. Only 30 percent of respondents believe his denial.

It remains unclear why anyone believes Ford, since she’s unable to name where specifically the assault happened or when specifically it occurred.  And every individual who she’s cited as a corroborating witness has denied her claims.

Fox News noted though that women — particularly suburban women — are more likely to believe Ford’s uncorroborated accusations. So are those with a college degree or those whose political views align with the Democrat party.

“Democrats believe Ford by a 59-9 percent margin. It’s the reverse among Republicans, 60 percent believe him, 14 percent her,” Fox reported.

Why do so many Democrats believe Ford? One possibility is straight-up brainwashing and indoctrination by the left-wing media. Nearly everyone in the media — including those at The New York Times, The Washington Post and CNN — have neglected to mention to their readers or viewers that dozens of women gathered for a press conference Friday to show support for Kavanaugh.

A clip from that conference may be seen below:

The media have also been slow to let their low-information readers and viewers know about the corroborating witnesses who’ve denied Ford’s account.

By Sunday morning, for instance, neither the Times nor the Post had let folks know that Leland Ingham Keyser, a longtime friend of Ford, had a day earlier denied knowing anything about a sexual assault.

“Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford,” her attorney reportedly said in a statement sent Saturday night to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

It’s almost as if the media are purposefully plotting with the Democrat Party to smear the Supreme Court nominee and reduce the public’s support for him. And wouldn’t you know it, Democrats are buying the nonsense hook, line and sinker, as noted by many on social media:

Conservatives have long speculated that the media are nothing but extensions of the Democrat Party. Based on the way they’ve handled the Ford case, it seems like this theory is indeed valid.
