Super Bowl champ says Marxists and socialists are hijacking the NFL and the black community

Super Bowl champion Burgess Owens said the NFL has been hijacked by anti-American Marxists, starting with unemployed quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“The mistake was made a year ago, when they allowed a Marxist to take the reins of their organization…Colin Kaepernick,” Owens told Fox Business. “That’s what we’re up against.”

Owens, who played 10 seasons in the NFL, said the league is being destroyed because NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and team owners did not nip the national anthem protests in the bud when they first started.

Instead, they incompetently let the problem metastasize into a full-blown national crisis that has now infected all of pro football.

Accordingly, Owens said Goodell absolutely does not deserve the $50 million salary and other perks he’s demanding as part of his contract re-negotiations.

“Unfortunately, we have NFL [team owners] who understand business and yet, for some reason they allowed their brand to be damaged this way,” Owens said. “And it’s going to continue. We’re going through a sea change right now with people thinking differently now about the NFL.”

Burgess Owens is particularly bothered that the mainstream media has lionized Kaepernick as a patriotic political activist when he’s too clueless to understand the issues. Keep in mind also that Colin does not even bother to vote, which is the most basic act of “political activism.”

“Kaepernick is not articulate enough to talk about the issues,” said Owens, the author of “Liberalism, or How to Turn Good Men into Whiners, Weenies and Wimps.”

While Kaepernick is celebrated as a liberal icon, records show he donated $25,000 to a group that honors convicted cop killer and domestic terrorist Assata Shakur. After being jailed for murdering New Jersey state trooper Werner Foerster in 1973, Shakur broke out of prison and fled to communist Cuba.

Shakur was on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorist list at the time she fled the United States. This anti-American, anti-police murderer is Colin Kaepernick’s hero. And Kap is Liberal America’s hero. Chew on that.

Burgess Owens said a major problem that’s not being discussed is the insidious liberal manipulation of the black community.

Owens said blacks are being brainwashed with anti-white propaganda that’s being pushed by race-baiting liberals. These leftists foment anti-white rage among blacks to manipulate them into voting for Democrats.

Owens explained: “BET [Black Entertainment Television] is what these guys are looking at every single day. It’s owned by a white corporation, Viacom. For the last 15 years, they have been flooded with anti-white, anti-American, anti-flag [propaganda] … everything they need to make sure [blacks are] energized when it comes to election time.”

Owens added: “[The enemy] is not each other. It’s Marxist, liberal Democrats who use my race to get power.”
