During a campaign rally in Houston, Texas, GOP nominee Donald Trump unleashed a tirade against Islamic terrorist Omar Mateen who shot and killed at least 49 people in an Orlando night club last week.

“If some of those wonderful people had guns strapped right here, right to their waist, or right to their ankle and this son of a bitch comes out and starts shooting,” Trump said as the crowd cheered in a massive roar.

“And one of the people in that room happened to have it and goes ‘BOOM BOOM’ you know what that would have been a beautiful sight folks, that would have been a beautiful sight,” Trump continued as his supporters went wild.

After the Orlando terrorist attack, Trump called for a temporary halt on all immigration from foreign countries that have a proven track record of terrorism against the US.

Trump’s temporary Muslim immigration ban is one of his most popular policy positions, despite an enormous amount of media backlash.

Some 45 percent of Americans support the Muslim immigration ban, according to polling conducted after the Orlando attack. Before the attack, only 41.9 percent of respondents said they supported the ban.
