Trump team digs through intelligence archives in explosive election probe

A White House task force is working on gathering evidence to bolster the president’s claims regarding election fraud, according to a new report.

NBC News revealed that the task force is “gathering thousands of pages of documents from U.S. intelligence agencies, with plans to declassify some of them, so President Donald Trump can amplify new accusations about past elections, three people familiar with the effort said.”

“Members of the task force have been encouraged to try to limit redactions in declassified documents, even if that means keeping in the names of government officials or other people, two of the people with knowledge of the effort said,” the outlet wrote. These documents will be largely regarding “ballot irregularities, potential voting machine issues and possibly beyond.”

John Solomon of Just the News and former Trump officials like ex-national security aide Derek Harvey will reportedly be part of the team.

This comes after Solomon announced that he would be stepping away from his outlet to accept a role as an “unpaid government employee to help the government identify documents that can be released to the public.”
