President Trump said Thursday that he’s “not a fan” of Jessica Tarlov after Jesse Watters asked the president to sit next to her.
During an interview on “The Five,” Trump brushed off a lighthearted invitation to sit next to Tarlov, calling her polling references “fake numbers” while insisting she’s “a lovely person.” The president pivoted to a broader criticism of polling, comparing unfavorable surveys to dishonest journalism.
“Mr. President, the next time you do this on ‘The Five,’ can we have you on set? Because we really want you to sit next to Jessica,” Watters said. “I think you’d be a good influence on her. Can you do that?”
“I watch Jessica, and I’m not a fan. And she uses fake numbers. She’ll give, ‘Well, he’s only polling 42%.’ That’s not right… Actually. Uh, you know, polls are just like, I hate people that use fake polls because polls are just like bad journalists. You know, bad journalists, they write fake stories. Well, fake polls do damage also, but that’s the thing. I’m sure she’s a lovely person,” Trump said.

“Now tell me, did she not want to do it, or did you kick her off?” Trump asked when Watters pointed out that Tarlov wasn’t on set.
“We didn’t kick her off. She had a previous schedule that she couldn’t change,” Watters said.
Tarlov has repeatedly criticized Trump on air. She also rebuked him for what she calls hypocrisy and self‑indulgence.
Some reports say that Trump’s economic policies, including tax cuts and deregulation, have led to job growth and stronger GDP performance. The White House also argues that his decisions on projects and policy initiatives reflect strategic priorities rather than hypocrisy or self‑indulgence.
