Iran denies Trump’s ceasefire announcement, claims Trump ‘backed down’ out of fear

The country of Iran has issued a bone-chilling response to President Donald Trump’s ceasefire claims.

Just when it looked like the United States military action against Iran might be approaching a resolution, the threats reportedly started coming in. It started with a Monday morning Truth Social post from Trump, indicating that the countries have engaged in discussions and the “hostilities” may be drawing to a close.

“I am pleased to report that the United States of America, and the country of Iran, have had, over the last two days, very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East,” the president wrote in all caps. “Based on the tenor and tone of these in depth, detailed, and constructive conversations, which will continue throughout the week, I have instructed the Department of War to postpone any and all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for a five day period, subject to the success of the ongoing meeting and discussions. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Unfortunately, those dreams of peace may already be dashed.

According to The Daily Mail, a news agency “aligned with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps” claims that there have been “no direct or indirect contact with Trump.”

“The unnamed source said Trump backed down after ‘hearing that our targets would include all power stations in West Asia,'” the outlet reported. “Iranian Major General Abdollahi said: ‘The use of a new, secret weapon will begin soon and it will bring an end to the enemy’s operations.'”
