Imagine a country where people from other nations are imported to bolster one political party’s chances at creating a one-party system? Imagine a country where members of its highest legislating body support terrorists above law enforcement, criminals above law-abiding citizens, and make excuses for unconscionable fraud, while raising taxes on hard-working citizens? Imagine a country where experience and track records are less important in the hiring of important positions, and sexual orientation and race become the overwhelming factors for filling high-ranking government jobs? Welcome to Bizarro-America, where right is wrong, wrong is right, and “what is a woman?” is not the only simple common-sense question that can’t be answered by a justice who is appointed to the Supreme Court.
Unfortunately, this is the tip of the iceberg for bad leadership. As Americans endured four years of utter incompetence and corruption, where the only people who benefited from President Biden’s economic policies were his family members, Americans are inundated by corruption, incompetence, and inaction.
How many more Facebook posts must pose the question, “Should Ilhan Omar be prosecuted and kicked out of Congress?” where the answers are overwhelmingly, “YES!!!!” Yet, republicans sit on their hands. Democrats line up to impeach President Trump for removing mattress tags or for a parking violation that occurred in 1971, yet republicans sit back and make idle threats, and when they do take action, their efforts are inept. Given the way the Justice Department completely botched the indictments of Letitia James and former FBI director James Comey, whose cases looked as if they were open and shut, it’s not surprising that republicans are leery about actually acting with speed. However, with each delay, justice is denied.
The path to destruction is a gradual one, which occurs when members of Congress are more aligned with their party’s efforts to maintain control, rather than concern for the welfare of the nation as a whole. Americans deserve far better than members of Congress who make speeches supporting other countries. Americans deserve better than a president who invites people from other nations into the country, showers them with benefits that are not available to American citizens, and allows these people to skirt immigration requirements. Americans deserve better than to see their communities taken over by activists who break laws, become dominant voting blocks, and put people in office who want to turn these communities into the third-world places from which they escaped. Americans deserve better than appointed judges who think they can usurp the power of the president and dictate policies that would protect drug traffickers and those who engage in human trafficking.
How does anyone defend billions of dollars in welfare fraud, unvetted immigrants who murder US citizens, local governments who allow businesses to be victimized by shoplifters, free health care for people who entered the country illegally, while most Americans can’t even afford their health care bills, and a government that has the country 38 TRILLION dollars in debt? This, and many other instances of incompetence, waste, and corruption, put America on a path to self-destruction.
So who are the culprits in this systematic destruction of America? First and foremost, it is elected officials at all levels. It’s the career politicians who scoff at the idea of term limits because they have gotten rich by being in office. It’s the federal judges who find legal technicalities to make rulings that hurt Americans and put career criminals back on the streets to victimize innocent people. It’s the media, which will only report stories that support their woke agendas and do their best to hide stories that conflict with their subjective biases. When a 23-year-old can uncover fraud in Minnesota and capture it on his cell phone, but the local media is incapable of exposing it, we know that journalistic integrity fails to exist. It’s an educational system that indoctrinates students by having overwhelming numbers of teachers at all levels who espouse their hatred for America and their pro-socialist agendas.
However, the greatest culprit in all of this is the American electorate, which has been complacent and allowed all of this to happen. It is those who have been so afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome that they are incapable of seeing the truth, which is that the Democratic Party has been taken over by those who seek to turn America into a socialist, totalitarian, one-party system that is run by hypocrites who criticize capitalism, but benefit greatly from it, as evidenced by their own bank accounts.
Each year, Americans have their hard-earned wages taxed, and they write checks to the government, so the government can provide services. In the old days, there were reports of $200 toilet seats and $300 hammers being purchased by the Pentagon, which produced outrage. This is nothing compared to billions of dollars of fraud being placed into the hands of fraudsters because the government operates like a parent handing a six-year-old a limitless credit card at the entrance of a toy store. How many more examples of exorbitant government waste need to be demonstrated before there is some accountability? Perhaps the debt clock needs to be on every TV station for hours, so Americans can truly understand the weight of incompetence by those who make decisions that will inevitably lead to disaster.
We have met the enemy, and he is us, as demonstrated by voters who will vote democratic despite polls that show their favorability is under 20%, yet their reelection rate is above 90% due to gerrymandering and manipulation of the electoral system!
As America heads down the path of a tragic end, it is reminiscent of the Titanic entering icy waters and moving at full speed. Our icebergs have names: AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Hakeem Jeffries, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and many others. We must change course, hold legislators and judges accountable for their actions, scrutinize the media, and stop allowing emotional temper tantrums to dictate how we vote. If we need to look at who proposed what to determine what is good or bad, we will continue to be mired in the kind of divisive partisan politics that puts America last and on the same course that sank the Titanic.
