Some Republicans have mockingly begun calling for leftist Rep. Jasmine Crockett to run for president after her latest humiliating screw-up.
The screw-up happened Tuesday after Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) boss Elon Musk joined President Donald Trump in the Oval Office for a news conference.
Following the news briefing, Crockett posted a stunningly dumb tweet about Vice President JD Vance — who’d been absent during the news conference — making it sound like he’s a useless VP.
“So name one thing y’all have seen about JD Vance & what he is up to,” she wrote. “I was watching clips of Trump & Elon in the Oval Office and thought this is weird, but uhhh even more odd is that he clearly has a partner in crime… it just doesn’t seem to be the flunky he ran with.”

The problem, of course, is that Vance has been plenty busy doing many, many things, including speaking in Paris about the Trump administration’s plan to dominate the artificial intelligence field.
“Vice President JD Vance told European and Asian leaders in Paris on Tuesday that the Trump administration was adopting an aggressive, America First approach to the race to dominate all the building blocks of artificial intelligence, and warned Europeans to dismantle regulations and get aboard with Washington,” according to the New York Times.

That same day, Vance also met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss “how the United States can assist India in diversifying its energy sourcing through investments in clean, ‘reliable’ US nuclear technology,” according to NDTV.
“Following the meeting, the two leaders, along with the Second Lady of the United States, Usha Vance, enjoyed coffee together,” NDTV notes. “Prime Minister Modi also took the opportunity to share gifts with the Vance children and wished the Vice President’s son, Vivek, a happy birthday.”

The fact that Crockett couldn’t take just five seconds to Google Vance’s name and discover what he’s been up to prompted massive, massive mockery on social media.
“When you are the dumbest person in congress (congrats), better not to let everyone know by posting stuff like this,” one critic tweeted.
“While you continue to embarrass generations of your family, he’s doing diplomacy in Europe,” another critic added. “Try informing, not embarrassing yourself.”

Flash forward to Wednesday, when another Crockett critic jokingly responded to her latest fiasco by calling for her to run for president.
“Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) should run for president in 2028,” he wrote. “She represents the Democratic brand perfectly.”
She’s dumb, ignorant, and loud, so yes, she does seem to indeed represent the Democrat brand perfectly…
