Musk deletes ‘deep-state puppet’ tweet after call with Senator: ‘I stand corrected’

Billionaire X owner Elon Musk reversed course after calling Sen. Todd Young (R-IN) a “deep-state puppet” in a now-deleted tweet.

The brief beef began over Young’s grilling of Tulsi Gabbard during her confirmation hearing, when she refused to denounce Edward Snowden as a “traitor.” Reposting a message accusing Young of joining the National Endowment for Democracy, a “State Department-funded NGO,” Musk created a stir by accusing the Republican of being a “puppet.”

In another deleted post, Musk said it was “very weird” that Young voted to approve a large number of former President Joe Biden’s nominees.

But a short time later, Musk backtracked by posting a message supportive of Young. This came after “an excellent conversation” with the senator.
