Vice President Kamala Harris will soon be out of a job but America hasn’t seen the last of the failed Democrat presidential candidate who just had her clock cleaned by President-elect Donald J. Trump.
The undisputed word salad queen has been rumored to be a shoo-in to replace California Governor Gavin Newsom when his current term ends, returning to her home state to continue the job of wrecking it. But Harris has always had delusions of grandeur about being president and could pass up the easy “layup” for another shot at the White House.
On Sunday morning’s edition of “Inside Politics” on CNN, Kamala’s future was a topic of discussion with Edward-Isaac Dovere dishing on the latest buzz and early signs that she’s plotting a comeback as aides look for a do-over on her dumpster fire of a campaign.
HAHAHAHAHA. Holy shlit. Kamala Harris is gearing up to run for president in 2028.pic.twitter.com/2yB9bn92xK

“What she‘s been saying to people over the last couple of weeks, donors, other supporters that she‘s been talking with is you haven‘t seen the last of me, I‘m not going quietly into the night,” he said. “Advisers, people close to her are debating about what that means. They do not want her final official act ever to be essentially certifying Donald Trump‘s win over her, especially four years after January 6th.”
“And so they look at this governor‘s race in California in 2026, and it seems to them like a layup, essentially, that she would probably clear the field or mostly clear the field, and she would get to be governor of California, which is a pretty good job, right?” Dovere asked.
“It was good enough for Ronald Reagan Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jerry Brown, and but if she does that, that means that she couldn‘t turn around and run for president again in 2028, right? She‘d need to essentially declare right away, and that is what it really comes down to because there are people close to her who say she didn‘t get a fair shot this year,” he continued.
“It wasn‘t it wasn‘t up to what she could have done, and look how well she performed, anyway, she should get to go again in 2028 and then there are ones who say, look with where things are with the Democratic party, it, she would not have a clear field, a cleared field rather in the Democratic primary and could lose the nomination and to come off of 2024 into that would be really terrible, no question,” Dovere said.
Even after getting rejected by the American people – including in all seven battleground states – the loser struck a defiant pose during remarks at a DNC holiday event over the weekend.

“And hear me when I say this, that spirit that fuels the countless hours and days and months of work that you have put into this, that spirit. It can never be defeated. Our spirit is not defeated,” Harris told the demoralized DNC staffers, serving up a holiday word salad.
“We are not defeated. Let’s be clear about that. We are strong. We are clear about why we are in this. And because you’re here right now. I say again, thank you. Because not only are you clear about all of that, you’re willing to put in the hard work and that work must continue,” the outgoing veep and potential 2028 nominee said.
If she goes for the full-court shot at the White House, this time Harris isn’t going to have the nomination just handed to her on a silver platter like it was last time when Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama orchestrated a coup against incumbent Joe Biden to steal the nomination from him.
Harris could truly be the gift that keeps on giving for Republicans.
