Kari Lake opted to have some fun with a creepy compliment from former President Bill Clinton about her being “physically attractive,” questioning whether she was too old for him.
The 78-year-old former president was in Arizona campaigning on behalf of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and he appeared at an event with Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), who is running against Lake for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema when he commented on Lake’s appearance.
“He said I was physically attractive. I woke up to this news this morning,” the pro-Trump Republican said while speaking at a rally in Tempe. “First of all, you know what? As a middle-aged woman, I’m flattered. I’m flattered. I don’t get those kinds of compliments every day.”
“Two, I thought I was a little too old for him. Doesn’t he like interns?” Lake asked. “Three, I’m happily married to my husband, Jeff, who’s right down here, beloved. And four, nobody in the right mind wants to cross, Hillary Clinton. It’s just dangerous.”

Clinton’s comment came during a Wednesday event in Phoenix while speaking about Gallego’s campaign.
“This is like a beautiful microcosm of the campaign that Kamala Harris is running for president,” he said.
“You got a person that grew up under sometimes challenging circumstances, who made something of his life running against someone who is physically attractive but believes that politics is a performance art, and where, like J.D. Vance, she has to be [prostrate] before the master.”
Colton Duncan, senior adviser to Lake, continued the humorous response to Slick Willy when he said, “When we heard Bill was coming to town, we thought we’d have to protect our interns from him, little did we know, it was our candidate we needed to shield!”
Lake, a former local news anchor, is reportedly trailing but she recently dismissed polling on the race, suggesting it was not to be trusted.
“The polling is much like what we saw in 2016 — polling that’s meant to move the voter into doing something. I know what our internal polling looks like. It’s great,” she told NBC News. “I talked to door knockers who are knocking for independent groups, who are knocking for Republican groups. The response people are getting at the door is overwhelming.”
