Barack Obama ran on a platform of “hope and change,” which was all smoke and mirrors. It was pure nonsense on purpose. All by itself, hope and change doesn’t mean a damn thing. Obama never said what it meant. The meaning was supplied by the voters themselves. If you were a voter, you could begin a sentence with “hope and change” and finish it any way you liked according to your own political leanings. People voted for Obama because of what they thought he would do, not because of what he wanted to do.
Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech on Thursday night attempted to play the same tune. All sizzle and no beef.
As I listened to the sickening diatribe about her mother and growing up in a middle-class neighborhood, I thought, “She thinks she is running for Junior High class president, not for president of the United States.” What she conveniently left out was her Marxist philosophy and how she intends to destroy the country with price controls, war on fossil fuels, a 25 percent tax on unrealized gains, higher corporate tax rates, and a forever open border.
She wants to deceive voters by omitting her radical platform. “She didn’t talk about many things,” Donald Trump told Newsmax, “like interest rates, China, fracking anywhere, let alone Pennsylvania, crime, poverty, trade deficits, child trafficking, woman trafficking, drugs, the border.” This would raise an immediate alarm if we had a working media. Instead, every mainstream media outlet ignored the vapid content of her speech, instead calling it “electric.”
What offended me most was her spiteful references to Trump and Republicans. “Simply put, they are out of their minds,” Harris said. “In many ways Donald Trump is an unserious man, but the consequences of putting Donald Trump back in the White House are extremely serious.” That is exactly how I feel about Harris and the Democrats. She is unserious. With her word salads and incessant cackling, Harris is a public fool. Given her leftist views, the consequences of electing her would be devastating for the US.
All you have to do is compare what Trump achieved in his presidency against the Biden/Harris administration. Everything Trump did accrued to the benefit of the nation. “I don’t care whether you like Trump or not,” said Bill O’Reilly. “Trump governed this nation in a responsible way where everybody prospered. And if you don’t believe that you’re a moron!”
From day one, Biden and Harris set out to reverse everything Trump accomplished. They caused astronomical gas, heating, and food prices; the worst inflation in 40 years; higher taxes; an avalanche of illegal immigration. Harris behaves as though she is not part of the Biden/Harris government. She pretends that, if elected to the presidency, she will fix all the problems currently plaguing the US when in fact she is part of the administration that is responsible for these problems.
If making changes is her priority, she could have been making them for the last three and a half years. She could be doing it during the next five months. What is stopping her? If she is incapable of doing it now, why should we think she could or would do it in 2025? Her speech provided no answers, only lies.
