Rumors that Kamala Harris has a day drinking problem evolve from word salad rants

The same media that dismissed “rumors” about President Joe Biden’s ailing health are now dismissing rumors about Vice President Kamala Harris’ drinking problem.

Though in fairness, there’s a lot less evidence to substantiate that Harris has a drinking problem than there was to substantiate that the president of the United States is senile.

According to Newsweek, the drinking rumors began with Trump campaign insider James Blair, who tweeted the following over the weekend:

From there the rumor spread, with more and more conservatives signing on to the theory that Harris being drunk would finally explain why she speaks in ridiculous word salads.

“Is Kamala drunk most of the time? If you watch her talk with that possibility in mind, so much makes sense all of a sudden,” David Strom of Hot Air noted. “All those word salads, the occasional slurring, the inappropriate laughs… These are all tells that her brain is fogged by something, and it may not be stupidity.”

Indeed.

Nichole Liza, a Twitter/X user, offered up a couple of other notable facts about Harris that do seem to point to alcoholism.

“The campaign is hyper-controlling, keeping her from any situation that might expose her secret – hence not allowing her to speak off-script, and refusing press conferences,” Liza noted in an X post.

It’s true that Harris’s campaign has jumped through hoops to prevent her from speaking live and off the cuff, not to mention preventing her from simply answering basic questions.

“The Biden Admin was unhappy with Kamala and reluctant to give her responsibility,” Liza added in her post. “Though the administration did not admit it publicly, aides and staff reported it to the press with enough regularity that it was considered basic fact.”

True.

Liza even examined Harris’ alleged drunkenness in the context of her “joy”-focused campaign for president.

“The ENTIRE *JOY* CAMPAIGN IS AN ELABORATE COVER FOR HER PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS,” she wrote. “It’s the classic ‘Mom’s not drunk, she’s just really happy!’ on a national scale.”

“It’s like being gaslit by dysfunctional parents into pretending our alcoholic mom/aunt/grandma/whatever is just fine, thank you, keep smiling, the world is watching and if we pretend hard enough maybe we can fool ourselves into being happy, too! ” she added.

That being said, Occam’s Razor suggests Harris isn’t a drunk but rather just an inarticulate boob. Still, it’s ironic that the same media that was fooled into thinking Biden is perfectly sane and rational is now standing for Harris amid another round of rumors.

The greater irony is that, in denying that Harris is an alcoholic, the media are inadvertently admitting something else about her.

“If Democrat media want to argue she sounds like a moron because she is a moron, and not because she drinks too much, that’s fine by me,” one clever critic explained.

It has to be either one — Harris is a drunk or a dummy. There is no third explanation for her awkward, weird word salads and uncanny inability to voice a single coherent thought.
