Four hostages kidnapped during Oct 7 attack have been rescued

Four Israeli hostages who were kidnapped during the Oct. 7th terror attack on Israel have been rescued alive and now well.

The four — Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv — were freed during a special operation Saturday in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to CNN.

“They are in good medical condition and have been transferred to the ‘Sheba’ Tel-HaShomer Medical Center for further medical examinations,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.

As seen above, the now-rescued hostage on the lower right should look familiar.

As CNN noted, “25-year-old Noa Argamani, became one of the symbols of the October 7 attacks, after video emerged of her seen shouting and pleading from the seat of a motorbike as a group of Hamas fighters drive away with her in tow.”

Argamani’s rescue comes seven months after her Chinese mother, who’s been dealing with late-stage brain cancer, published a video begging to see her one last time.

“I don’t know how long I have left. I wish for the chance to see my Noa at home,” she reportedly said in the clip.

CNN notes that such successful rescue operations have been rare: “IDF Corporal Ori Megidish was rescued in October last year from the northern Gaza Strip. In another operation on February 12 this year, Fernando Marman and Louis Har were rescued from southern Rafah.”

However, despite the latest successful operation, critics have been pushing back by claiming the operation led to the deaths of dozens of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children.

“At least 107 people have been killed as a result of the operation in Nusairat, Deir al-Balah and al-Zawaideh on Saturday, according to a spokesperson at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Deir al-Balah,” CNN reported.

According to Hamas, in other words.

“Dozens and dozens killed – including many children – to save four. Somebody please explain to me the acceptable ratio of human life,” one critic tweeted.

Critics, particularly in the media, are also mad because the operation that just saved the lives of four kidnapped Israelis may have hurt the chances of a ceasefire deal proposed by President Joe Biden being approved.

But supporters of the operation say the critics can go take a hike.
