The latest “groupthink” hoax found corporate media talking heads appearing guilty of precisely what they blamed on former President Donald Trump.
“One might even call it a public relations bloodbath.”
Holier-than-thou hypocrisy at its finest came to the fore over the weekend as headlines attempted to pass off a remark from the president as another bogus example of incitement. Hysterics over Trump’s use of the term “bloodbath” belied how, like Cinderella’s glass slipper, the likes of Jake Tapper, Joy Reid, Whoopi Goldberg and Joe Scarborough were a better fit for their own narrative.
A supercut credited to video editor @mazemoore featured roughly two minutes of clips from ABC, CNN, MSNBC and even Fox News where some of the president’s leading critics could be heard using the term to discuss all manner of political events.
Between covering elections, congressional votes, economic trends and Taylor Swift fans, listening to the talking heads would lead anyone to believe the world was in an absolute state of pandemonium.
SUPERCUT!

In fact, only days before Trump had taken to the campaign stage in Dayton, Ohio to suggest that how the re-election of President Joe Biden would be a “bloodbath for the country” as it pertained to the auto industry, specifically referencing Chinese car manufacturing plants being built in Mexico, flame-throwing pundits were riling up their audiences over changes at the Republican National Committee.
With former North Carolina GOP Chair Michael Whatley taking over for Ronna McDaniel as chair of the RNC, alongside co-chair Lara Trump, over 60 staffers were reportedly given the boot in what headlines called a “Bloodbath at the RNC.”

What that actually amounted to, as new chief operating officer Sean Cairncross had told Politico, was “certain staff [were] being asked to resign and reapply for a position on the team,” as leadership was “in the process of evaluating the organization and staff to ensure the building is aligned” on their vision going forward.

Meanwhile, @mazemoore went on to feature the truly outlandish rhetoric from corporate media as fear-mongering commentators depicted varying degrees of dystopian and dictatorial outcomes they were certain would occur were Trump to be elected again, despite none of those things occurring during his first term in office.
“We’re gonna see violence the likes of which we didn’t even see on January 6,” said The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin as others portended martial law with troops being ordered to stand against American citizens.
Trump said it would be a bloodbath for the auto industry if he doesn’t win in November.
Reminder that this is what the media said would happen if he does win. This is actual inciting of violence. pic.twitter.com/IhZuBcD9Am

Included in the criticism of corporate media over their shameless antics was billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk who, in addition to likening those parroting the “bloodbath” narrative to non-playable characters in video games, simply stated “Legacy media lies.”
The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro tacked on to Musk’s post and commented, “What a terrible news cycle for the legacy media. One might even call it a public relations bloodbath.”
