‘F**king lunatics’: Tucker goes nuclear on GOP senators pushing to attack Iran

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson did not hold back in responding to calls by two leading Republican senators to attack Iran in retaliation for a deadly drone attack in Jordan that killed 3 U.S. servicemen.

US Central Command confirmed in a statement Sunday that in addition to the three service members being killed, at least 34 were injured in the drone attack that “impacted at a base in northeast Jordan.” The base is near the country’s border with Syria.

President Biden said in a statement the attack “was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq,” even as critics faulted him for the incident.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who has a well-deserved reputation as a warhawk, was quick to bash the Biden administration and demand action. He tweeted: “Hit Iran now. Hit them hard.” Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) echoed that sentiment, tweeting: “Target Iran.”

Carlson, who’s no friend to neocons, responded by posting a screengrab of the two tweets before writing, “F*cking lunatics.”

In the aftermath of the Iran-backed Palestinian terrorist group Hamas attacking Israel, Carlson hit Republicans for not doing more to resist Biden “pushing” America into a war with the Persian Gulf nation.

“We seem to be heading to war with Iran, certainly the Biden administration is pushing us in that direction,” the former Fox News host said. “What’s new and interesting and ominous is that very few Republicans, the opposition party, are pushing back. Instead, those party leaders are encouraging it.”

Graham also tweeted on Sunday, “The Biden Administration can take out all the Iranian proxies they like, but it will not deter Iranian aggression. I am calling on the Biden Administration to strike targets of significance inside Iran, not only as reprisal for the killing of our forces, but as deterrence against future aggression.”

“The only thing the Iranian regime understands is force,” he continued. “Until they pay a price with their infrastructure and their personnel, the attacks on U.S. troops will continue.”

Cornyn explained his intent in a response to an X user questioning if he was suggesting that the U.S. “bomb Iran.”

“No. IRGC and Quds Force terrorist facilitators,” the Republican tweeted.

For what it’s worth, Biden vowed Sunday to hold those responsible for the drone attack “to account.”

“These service members embodied the very best of our nation: Unwavering in their bravery. Unflinching in their duty. Unbending in their commitment to our country — risking their own safety for the safety of their fellow Americans, and our allies and partners with whom we stand in the fight against terrorism,” the president said, before adding, “And have no doubt – we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing.”
