Former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon blew his stack over remarks by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) suggesting that Joe Biden’s lamentable presidency is God’s will.
Bannon is among those who have been critical of the new Speaker who is currently dickering with the Democrats over their Ukraine funding bill that they’re trying to tie to border security to placate conservatives and he unloaded on the Louisiana Republican on the Wednesday edition of his “War Room” podcast.

Bannon’s ire was directed at remarks made by the devoutly religious Johnson during a Q&A with the media when he was asked by a reporter whether Biden’s reign was the will of the Almighty.
“Do we have that clip from Johnson saying about, uh, Biden being the will of God? Yo, bro, get focused here. Johnson needs some help,” Bannon said as he rolled the clip of the Speaker’s response. “Ok. Be prepared to have your heads blow up.”
“Do you believe that Joe Biden’s presidency is God’s will?” Johnson was asked during Wednesday’s presser after a GOP conference meeting.
“Is Joe Biden’s presidency God’s will? Oh, I know where you’re going with this. Okay, so I said I said in my speech, uh, before I took the gavel, um, that look, I’m a Bible-believing Christian, right? Bible-believing Christian believes what the Bible says, right?” Johnson responded.
“The Bible says that, uh, God is the one that raises up people in authority. I believe God is sovereign, by the way, so did the founders. I quoted the Declaration of Independence pledge that our rights don’t come from government, they come from God, and we’re made in his image,” he continued.
Everybody’s made the same. We all are given equal rights and value, and that’s something that we defend. So if you believe all those things, uh, then do you believe that God is the one that allows people to be raised in authority? Uh, admit there must have been God’s will then, uh, that’s my belief, right?” Johnson said.
“Yo dude, he’s an illegitimate president,” Bannon said, referring to the controversial 2020 election, one which millions of Americans including former President Donald J. Trump don’t believe was on the up-and-up. “Have you lost your frickin’ mind?”
“This election was stolen. Don’t, don’t start giving me. Don’t go, don’t be a theologian. I don’t need a theologian, I need a Speaker of the House,” he said. “That’s what the country needs. Joe Biden’s not a legitimate president of the United States, note to the Speaker, so no, God did not raise him up.”
Bannon has previously torn into the Speaker with one example being his condemnation of Johnson’s bringing the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) up for a vote last month despite its “demonic” contents.
“The NDAA just passed, it just passed. This is Mike Johnson, and don’t tell me you’re a Christian. I don’t want to hear you’re a Christian, don’t wear your faith, don’t give me the Bible, I don’t hear more Bible verses. When you’ve allowed the transgender, you’ve allowed all that garbage, all that demonic trash throughout the defense budget,” Bannon ranted on his podcast.
Bannon: The NDAA just passed. This is @SpeakerJohnson. I don’t want to hear you’re a Christian. You’ve let all that demonic trash throughout the defense budget. Now you have tax payers paying for this… you’ve allowed this to happen. You’re just as bad as the bad guys bc you… pic.twitter.com/LTqrS5qgqp

“You wonder why, you wonder why you can’t get, you wonder why you can’t get, that you can’t get kids, you know, red-blooded American boys and girls to get into the military with what you’ve done in this neo-Marxism and this cultural rot,” he said.
