On the same day that U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy reportedly elbowed fellow Republican U.S. Rep. Tim Burchett in the kidney, a fistfight nearly broke out in the middle of a Senate hearing.
Teamster boss Sean O’Brien was testifying before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee on Tuesday, and Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) read a tweet posted by O’Brien back in June before challenging him to a fight.
The tweet read: “Greedy CEO who pretends like he’s self made. In reality, just a clown & fraud. Always has been, always will be. Quit the tough guy act in these senate hearings. You know where to find me. Anyplace, Anytime cowboy.”
Well, Mullin — who responded to the tweet by accepting the challenge and proposing a mixed martial arts fight for charity — decided that very moment was as good a time as any and suggested they settle the dispute right there.
“You want to run your mouth? We can be two consenting adults, we can finish it here,” the Native American senator said to O’Brien.

“OK, that’s fine, perfect,” O’Brien replied. “I’d love to do it right now.”
“Then stand your butt up then,” a very fit Mullin fired back while rising to his feet.
Committee chairman Bernie Sanders all but lost his socialism-loving mind.
“No, no, sit down! Sit down! You’re a United States senator!” the Vermont independent shouted, before adding, “This is a hearing. And God knows the American people have enough contempt for Congress, let’s not make it worse.”
Amy Kremer, co-founder of Women for Trump, tweeted: “Congress is wild this week!”
She wasn’t the only one to notice something “going on” as things got physical in the Capitol as alleged by Republican Tim Burchett and an NPR reporter.

Good. Finally, a politician that’s willing to fight his own battles rather than sending thousands of our young citizens to do it for him.
