Wild brawl in California Target captured on video

If it’s not airports, it’s department stores… these being the chosen venues for those with little regard for laws or their fellow man.

A wild brawl broke out inside a Target store involving four young black men attacking a Latino victim. Laura Sanchez witnessed the assault while on her way to the restroom.

“They start swinging towards the Latino guy,” Sanchez told KTLA. “It was like four against one.”

“We just heard noises in the background and out of nowhere, they just come up and started fighting,” she added. “We’re like, ‘What happened?’”

Sanchez said one of the assailants taunted the victim, claiming he was only 13 years old.

“I just heard one of the teenage boys saying, ‘I’m 13, I’m 13! You can’t put your hands on me,’” she recalled.

The fight took place in Redlands, California, which is a suburb of San Bernardino and marks “several recent incidents taking place in the same Redlands shopping plaza. Just earlier this month, another fight was recorded outside of a Ross Dress for Less store as well,” KTLA reported.

“It does make you stop and think for a minute,” local resident Michaela Semple told the affiliate.

“It’s very sad and I just pray that everyone can stay safe,” she said. “I do love this community though. I really do.”

Target CEO Brian Cornell told investors Wednesday that violence is up in their stores, saying shoplifting that included “threats of violence” surged 120% during the first five months of the year, according to the New York Post.

“Our team continues to face an unacceptable amount of retail theft and organized retail crime,” Cornell said during the company’s second-quarter earnings call. “Unfortunately, safety incidents associated with theft are moving in the wrong direction.”
