Twitch influencer Kai Cenat announced that there would be a PlayStation giveaway at Union Square Park on Friday and the event quickly descended into a riot as hundreds of unruly teens turned out.
A least 1000 people flooded into Union Square and many of them turned violent, even attacking New York Police Department officers who were trying to maintain order. The NYPD, which has been rendered impotent in many ways by left-wing Democratic policy, found itself under attack by the mob with police vehicles being destroyed and officers being pelted with objects thrown at them, resulting in some injuries.
Leave it to Fox News host Greg Gutfeld to put the days events into proper perspective, given how much of the media turns the truth on its head these days — think CNN’s “Mostly Peaceful Protesters.”
Heavy on sarcasm, the comedian responded to footage of the NYPD being assaulted thusly: “Racist cops taunt honor roll students on their way to visit their sick grandmother.”
