GOP presidential candidate Francis Suarez is offering $20 ‘Bidenomics Relief Card’ if you donate $1

As Republican presidential candidates gear up to wage political warfare on Democrat incumbent President Joe Biden, some are pulling out all the stops to make sure their voices are heard.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez dropped a video on June 15 announcing his intention to run in the 2024 presidential race, but media attention remains fully focused on his fellow Republican candidates.

The Republican National Committee is requiring candidates to amass 40,000 unique donors in order to qualify for their public debates. While this number is a drop in the bucket for large names like former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, those without national name recognition have had to get creative with the way they bring in donors.

On Tuesday, the mayor tweeted his plan to make it to the debate stage and have his ideas heard.

“Bidenomics is making the American Dream unaffordable, so I asked, ‘how can I help,’ and you answered,” he wrote. “I’m offering EVERY AMERICAN a $20 Bidenomics Relief Card when you give just $1 to help me qualify for the debate stage.”

The Suarez campaign believes that whether or not you support the mayor specifically, it is always better to have more voices at the table when it comes to the future of America. Especially when one of those voices has “slashed the number of homeless people in Miami…while creating a massive economic and population boom…while slashing bureaucracy and restoring power to the people.”

“We’re not asking for you to cast your vote for Mayor Suarez…we’re just asking for you to give him a fighting chance to make his case to Republican primary voters on the debate stage.”

The mayor also boasts a pretty successful election record, having been “first elected with a mandate of 86 percent and then re-elected with a mandate of nearly 79 percent” in the city of Miami, which is no easy feat for a Republican.

But Suarez isn’t the first GOP candidate to use this tactic to secure his spot on the stage. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has also offered $20 gift cards, which appears to have helped him successfully meet the unique donor threshold, according to Politico.

Perry Johnson, a Michigan businessman and Republican presidential longshot, took a similar tactic, offering $1 shirts emblazoned with the phrase “I stand with Tucker” in a bid to meet the requirement.
