What is it with President Joe Biden’s dogs and their desire to bite people?
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about this very important matter at Tuesday’s press briefing by a diligent reporter — it’s not like there’s anything critical going on, like an alleged bribery scandal involving the president of the United States — and KJP had a ready answer: Stress.
After dodging a question about Hunter Biden’s scheduled court appearance on Wednesday, when he is expected to plead guilty to slap-on-the-wrist misdemeanor tax crime charges which will effectively end any further investigation into his dubious business dealings by the Justice Department, Jean-Pierre was asked about Commander Biden’s biting incidents — the dog, not the president.
Commander is the Bidens’ second German Shepherd, following in the footsteps of Major and both dogs evidently like to bite people. Major’s aggressiveness was well reported and Judicial Watch has detailed 10 biting incidents involving Commander.
“On a very different topic: the dog,” the same reporter asked with a laugh. “It seems that Commander Biden has a bit of a biting problem. Can you give us the latest? And also, any plans for him to, perhaps, make a move, go stay with some family friends, as — as Major Biden, the previous dog, did?”

Jean-Pierre seemed to enjoy the question as much as the reporter did.
“So, as you all know, the White House complex can be unique and very stressful,” she said with a giggle. “And that is something I’m sure you all can understand. And it is, as I just said, it is unique and it is stressful for all of us, so you can imagine what it’s like for a family pet and family pets, more broadly.”

Having much more to say on the matter — see running out the clock — the president’s spokesperson assured the nation that the first family was “working through ways to make this situation better for everyone.”
“They have been partnering with the Secret Service and Executive Residence staff on additional leashing protocols and training, as well as establishing designated areas for Commander to run and exercise,” she added. “According to the Secret Service, each incident referenced was treated similarly to comparable — comparable, pardon me, workplace injuries with relevant notifications of reporting procedures followed.”
“And so, the President and the First Lady are obviously — and continue to be incredibly grateful to the Secret Service and the Executive Residence staff for all they do to keep them and their family and the country safe. I don’t have anything — specifics on any changes to Commander’s whereabouts. So I’ll just leave it there,” she concluded.
