Former President Donald Trump posted a 9-second video clip on his Truth Social account that quickly caught the media’s eyes — then again, he has proven to be a master at earned media.
The clip was from the verified Truth Social account “MAGA.com” and featured a quote from Trump along with his 2024 campaign logo.
“If you f*ck around with us, if you do something bad to us, we are going to do things to you that have never been done before,” the former president can be heard saying.
The video included the caption, “We aren’t afraid of them.”
Of course, that may be what Trump’s detractors are afraid, that they are not being effective in scaring off residents of Magadonia.
Meanwhile, the liberal media outlet Mediaite had its own take, as seen in this headline: “‘If You F*ck Around With Us’: Trump Shares Ominous Clip Of Him Threatening Revenge.”
Turns out, the quote used was in reference to Iran, coming from an October 2020 appearance on the late Rush Limbaugh’s radio show, which prompted Snopes to dun it an “out-of-context sound bite.”
