There are less violent ways to tell your attorney you aren’t happy with their services, but for one Florida murderer violence is never NOT an option.
Joseph Zieler was convicted in the 1990 slaying of an 11-year-old girl and her babysitter, but he clearly wasn’t going down without a fight. Hours before he was sentenced to death, he was caught on camera elbowing his own attorney, Kevin Shirley, in the face. Since he decided to do this in a courtroom, bailiffs were on him like white on rice with a speed that can only be described as “instantaneous.”

Following the violent outburst, absolute alpha male Shirley reportedly told the judge: “I used to box. I’ve taken a lot better shots than that one.”
