Trump tells reporters after Waco rally Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has ‘ALREADY dropped’ case against him

Even after giving a roughly 90-minute speech Saturday the indefatigable former President Donald Trump had more to say as he expressed his belief about the status of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) potential indictment against him.

With his typical aplomb, the 2024 GOP frontrunner kept his supporters engaged in Waco, Texas with an eye toward the future where they would be “vindicated and proud” and he would once again reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. During the speech, he also made mention of investigations directed at him, including the most recent effort by Bragg to elevate a misdemeanor to a felony over potential campaign finance violations outside his jurisdiction.

After the rally, the president was accompanied by members of the press aboard “Trump Force One” where he fielded questions. When asked about a $130,000 payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016, he not only decried accusations of wrongdoing, but he asserted Bragg’s “fake case” had fallen apart, according to The Daily Mail.

“I have no idea what’s going to happen,” Trump said before suggesting of the DA’s office, “I think they’ve already dropped the case. From what I understand … I think it’s been dropped.”

“But I believe that if anything ever happened with the case, it’s a fake case,” he went on.

Initially, Trump had reacted to leaks about a possible indictment by calling for protests from his supporters, alerting them to the possibility that he could have been arrested as early as this past Tuesday. Notably, Bragg had delayed a grand jury vote on both Wednesday and Thursday after the final witness had been heard adding credence to Trump’s suspicions.

“I’m not frustrated by anything. I just did a speech for two hours. I’m not frustrated to do that,” he said in response to another question from the press. Trump went on to add, “I just had polls that came out where I’m 40 points ahead. See, this is what I hate about fake news.”

As for suggestions that his efforts to rally supporters were somehow calling for violence, he knocked down the idea while calling out the actions of his opponents, “I don’t like violence and I’m not for violence. But a lot of people are upset and you know they rigged an election, they stole an election, they spied on my campaign. They did many bad things. They did a fake dossier.”

Saturday night, Trump also took to Truth Social to once again call out the dangerous precedent being set by leftists using the justice system as a partisan tool and wrote, “The new weapon being used by the Democrats to cheat on Elections is criminally investigating a candidate, bad publicity and all, by the DOJ and their local henchmen at A.G. & D.A. OFFICES. They make lives miserable, destroy their families and friends, regardless of their innocence, which makes little difference to these Radical Left Maniacs. It is worse than ballot stuffing and media manipulation. We must stop them cold!”

In fact, even disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) spoke out against the political persecution of Trump when he said, “You have a cynical public, they don’t believe anyone and when you start to see these prosecutors bring political cases, it just affirms everybody’s cynicism.”

“I don’t believe a Democratic prosecutor just happens to be attacking a Republican,” Cuomo went on. “I don’t believe a Republican prosecutor just happens to be attacking a Democrat. I think it’s all politics, and I think that’s what the people of this country are saying. And I think it feeds the cynicism, and that’s the cancer in our body politic right now.”
