Charlamagne takes Trump’s warning as a threat to paint DeSantis as secretly gay

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has yet to declare his presidential run, but if the amount of steaming mudpies that are already being thrown his way is any indication, the Republican primary race is shaping up to be one of the messiest manure shows in modern election memory.

Short on issues and long on stink, Charlamagne tha God picked up on a recent Trump “Ron DeSanctimonious” rant and used it to smear not only Trump’s opponent but everyone who supports him.

On Thursday’s edition of his “Brilliant Idiots” podcast, Charlamagne and co-host Andrew Schulz discussed Trump’s potential indictment and his attacks on DeSantis.

As BizPac Review reported, following DeSantis’s remarks on Trump’s legal woes in which the governor stated he didn’t know “what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair,” the former president took to Truth Social and implied a Stormy Daniels situation could easily happen to him.

“Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he’s unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are ‘underage’ (or possibly a man!),” Trump wrote. “I’m sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!”

Charlamagne, and apparently those like him, took this to mean that Trump was implying that his political rival was secretly gay. And that was the only opening he needed to slam the governor and all those Bible-thumping hypocrites who would vote for him.

“What’s interesting about that is — that probably would hurt Ron politically cause all of these people are hypocrites, right?” Charlamagne said. “Because they believe in the Bible so much, but then a lot of them be on the down low and a lot of them be having boyfriends. But they’ll look at this and say, ‘Oh, you’re in a relationship with a man. I can’t vote for you. You’re going against what the Bible says.'”

You get that, Christians? A great many of you are also secretly gay, but you are such hypocrites, you wouldn’t consider voting for a gay man. That’s how twisted you are.

“Why,” Schultz wondered, “would Trump say that?”

Clearly, Charlamagne said with no evidence but plenty of confidence, Trump has “something” on his opponent.

“Because he knows that could hurt him politically or there’s some pictures,” he explained. “He got something. He got something. That’s all I’m saying. He’s letting him know… ‘F**k with me. You know I got it.'”

“That’s just a shot,” he continued. “Like, ‘Hey Ron. I was in there for four years, bruh. I know where all the bones are buried. Okay. And there was a couple in your a**hole.'”

Online, not even Trump’s critics are buying it.

“A fine salacious story, but it’s no more credible than anything else tRump has said,” wrote one on Twitter. “We all know that if there’s anything he hasn’t said, it’s because he hasn’t thought of it yet.”

“[Charlamagne Tha God] is a moron,” stated another.

And a third flipped the script.

“Charlamagne,” the user wrote, “would know all about being gay….”
