The alleged two-tiered system of justice stood out in bold amid reports former President Donald Trump may be indicted as Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s (D) record on felony prosecutions was brought to the forefront.
Compounding leftist efforts to defund the police have been the widespread actions of George Soros-backed district attorneys implementing soft-on-crime agendas in metropolitan areas. While some like former San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin (D) faced consequences in the form of a recall, and Hillsborough County, Florida State Attorney Andrew Warren (D) was suspended, others like Bragg have continued to foster rising crime rates.
Faced with allegations of paying adult film star Stormy Daniels to remain silent about a supposed affair between them, the possible charge that could lead to the unprecedented arrest of an American president was an anomaly for Bragg’s office as he actually elevated a misdemeanor to a felony.
As Greg Price pointed out on Twitter, “In 2022, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg reduced 52% of all felony charges to a misdemeanor — Now he’s elevating a misdemeanor to a felony that the feds refused to prosecute to indict President Trump — Criminals roam free. Political opponents go to jail. This is your third world country.”

Price went on to cite numerous examples of reduced charges under Bragg, a trend that fostered contempt from prosecutors aiming to actually combat crime in New York City and led to more than a dozen walking off the job within his first weeks in office after he established that he wanted “prosecutors to ask judges for jail time only for the most serious offenses — like murder, sexual assault, and large-scale economic crimes — unless the law requires them to do otherwise.”
Or, as many had pointed out in the case of Trump, the law appeared to detail that the statute of limitations had expired for a misdemeanor charge related to the alleged payments, so the only way to go after him would be through a felony charge.
I thought the statute of limitations had run out. How does one get arrested without a legal case?

I think this will be a turning point. It’s making a lot of people very upset. The mere elevating a misdemeanor to a felony in pursuit of one person is very scary. They picked the wrong guy this time. Way too many people can see this for what it is.

Price went on to point out, “George Soros spent over $1 million to elect Alvin Bragg DA of Manhattan. He is now pleading down the charges of violent criminals and letting them back on the street while trying to put Trump in jail on total politically motivated charges. Soros is getting what he paid for.”

Conservative commentator Larry Elder shared a satirical Babylon Bee worthy headline that thoroughly summed up the perversion of the justice system taking place at Bragg’s discretion that read, “Trump is reportedly considering committing a violent felony in New York so DA Bragg will drop all charges.”

It remains to be seen what will come of the potential indictment and arrest of Trump, but in the meantime, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has sought investigations into the potentially “politically motivated prosecutions” and whether or not federal funds had anything to do with efforts to “subvert our democracy by interfering in elections…”
He should be made to step down.

Thus, the real criminal and the one that should be arrested is Alvin Bragg and all of his cheer leaders in the anti liberty minority party
