The “woke” left’s toxic ideology is a destructive force that could soon put the finishing touches on the demolition of San Francisco thanks to an insane reparations proposal that would obscenely compensate those who have never been slaves at the expense of those who were never slave owners, and liberal comic Bill Maher is once again calling out the insanity that has consumed his own political party.
On Friday’s edition of HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” the host who has been one of the few prominent members of the political left who has been willing to criticize the worst excesses of those who are waging a relentless cultural revolution against America, blasted the “crazy” scheme that would give black residents of the City by the Bay a jaw-dropping $5 million each along with other ridiculous perks such as the elimination of their personal and tax debt, an annual payout of at least $97,000 for 250 years and homes in one of the highest priced housing markets in America for a meager $1 a family.

During the panel discussion with his guests, Democrat Rep. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan and former New York mayoral candidate Andrew Yang, Maher wondered whether the numbers put forth by the city-appointed reparations committee which were supported by some members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors at a meeting this week were too much, noting that the proposal is going “too far” and that it’s “quite a lot” to gift black residents $5 million each.
“What about the reparations ruling in San Francisco? Is that too far? The $5 million?” Maher asked as Slotkin, a dutiful party apparatchik played dumb.
“Even I didn’t go this far,” Yang said, referring to the controversial Universal Basic Income (UBI) proposal that was a plank in his campaign platform during his brief flirtation with the Democratic Party’s 2020 presidential nomination.
“$5 million and a house for $1, they buy you a house, I mean… it seems like, you, when people ask why you are talking against the woke craziness, because it’s crazy, is it not crazy?” Maher asked. “They say it would cost every—they said it would cost—and by the way San Francisco doesn’t have a history of slavery or anything like that, you know, it would cost every citizen left $600,000 each. This is madness, is it not?”
Yang downplayed the seriousness of the unrealistic attempt to exact racial retribution, dismissing the proposal as merely a “political statement” despite its receiving enthusiastic support from political leadership in the once-pristine West Coast city that now boasts streets filled with homeless vagrants and junkies who defecate in public places and discard their used drug needles on the ground in areas where the squalor is on par with some of the worst third world slums.
“We have a lot of people at various stages of public office who are putting out bills and policies that are more for the messaging and stoking the fires on social media than actually trying to get something passed,” Yang told the incredulous host.
“Those of my constituents who lost their minds about this proposal, it’s not something we’re doing or we would do for other people. It’s something we would do for our future, for everybody’s collective future,” San Francisco Supervisor Rafael Mandelman, whose district includes the heavily homosexual Castro neighborhood said of the eye-popping proposal.
“I don’t need to impress upon you the fact that we are setting a national precedent here in San Francisco,” said Tinisch Hollins, the vice-chair of the African American Reparations Advisory Committee, suggesting that the city’s reparations plan could expand nationally, in remarks at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisor’s hearing.
“What we are asking for and what we’re demanding for is a real commitment to what we need to move things forward,” Hollins said.
“This conversation we’re having in San Francisco is completely unserious. They just threw a number up, there’s no analysis,” John Dennis, San Francisco Republican Party chair said of the board’s discussion of the $5 million racial lottery jackpot. “It seems ridiculous, and it also seems that this is the one city where it could possibly pass.”
