‘Exuding weakness wherever they go’: Kilmeade tears into Biden admin after downing of US drone

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade ripped into President Joe Biden’s foreign policy failings after a Russian fighter jet reportedly downed an unmanned U.S. drone, accusing the administration of “just exuding weakness wherever they go.”

Tuesday, a U.S. MQ-9 was said to have crashed after an incident involving two Russian fighter jets in international airspace over the Black Sea. As detailed by “Fox & Friends” cohost Ainsley Earhardt, it was said that fuel was dumped on the unmanned aircraft before its propeller was clipped, forcing it out of the sky.

Kilmeade made the case that the foreign power wouldn’t be nearly so brazen in its apparent provocation of the United States were Biden actually leading. “All you [need] to do is look at this administration just exuding weakness wherever they go.”

“Slow-walking the weapons they promise — they are almost a year late, some of them,” he pointed out in regard to support abroad before reminding about the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 and all that entailed. “Look at what happened in Afghanistan, directly related here.”

“We call Saudi Arabia a pariah nation — they team with Iran now — Abraham Accords are in jeopardy,” the host went on, harkening back to the historic agreements made during President Donald Trump’s administration that Biden’s team has undermined. “We kiss the butt of Iran, now Israel is going to be forced to act as they get closer and closer to a nuclear weapon.”

“Any time you have weakness, this is what happens, and this is the Russian response,” he argued. “What would the reaction be [in] the United States, if you see a Russian drone very close to San Francisco or New York? For me, it’s clear, for you as well. That has nothing to do with it! If you were in international skies, that would be it! If you were over San Francisco or New York, that would be a different story.”

Kilmeade’s reaction was similar to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) who joined “Hannity” Tuesday night to say, “Weakness breeds provocation. They know they can get away with it. Mexico is blaming us for the fentanyl crisis and Joe Biden is like a deer in the headlights. He needs to up his game quickly.”

However, notably different was Graham’s insistence on succumbing to that provocation as he told host Sean Hannity, “Well, we should hold them accountable and say that, ‘If you ever get near another U.S. asset flying in international waters, your airplane will be shot down.’ What would Ronald Reagan do right now? He would start shooting Russian planes down if they were threatening our assets. American foreign policy’s in free-fall.”

Earhardt supported the argument of weakness portrayed by the United States with a reminder about how the Pentagon dealt with the Chinese spy balloon that was allowed to traverse America from Alaska to South Carolina before it was shot down. “The U.S. would do nothing.”

“Putin,” she added, “knows if he shoots down something in international airspace, there should be a response from the U.S.”
