DeSantis being tricked by snowflake gift with hidden ‘fascist’ not the win the left thinks it is

A gift and a photo-op with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) by a determined leftist may have proved ample fodder for social media simpletons, but reality hasn’t played out the way they imagine it.

Since the release of his book, “The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival,” America’s Governor has been on a cross-country tour spreading his lessons in conservative leadership. On Friday, that tour took him to Iowa, the noteworthy state of presidential hopefuls, where he was joined by Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) where they discussed active engagement in the culture war to restore American prosperity.

At the event, a woman snagged a selfie of herself and both governors where she presented the prominent GOP leaders with snowflakes crafted with the word “Fascist” repeated in the design. Steven Goffman of The Washington Post was happy to share the images that depicted the Republicans having getting “punked.”

Lefty journalists weren’t the only ones giddy at seeing the governors “duped” into posing with grandmotherly woman who had taken great lengths to, as one user who claimed to know her said, “make snowflakes to give to politicians who come to Iowa — there are special messages for odious Republicans.”

In fact, many replied to Goffman’s post reporting their own glee at seeing the stunt pulled by the “prototypical Blue Anon die hard progressive.”

However, what was readily overlooked by keyboard warriors giddy at seeing DeSantis “owned” in such an obvious fashion at an event where others had attempted to sabotage him by running clips outside the building representing “conflicting statements on Social Security” and someone had tried to promote buying out all the tickets for the event, was that the attack only bolstered his reputation as a threat to the leftist cause.

“Oh man, you got him now,” the account PoliMath snarked, “he’ll never be president after this one,” while another remarked how his willingness to take the photo showed his own ability to take a joke and interact with people of different views.

Meanwhile, no matter which way you slice it, the joke is still on them as DeSantis’ book debuted as a bestseller and at the time of this posting remained in the top spot on Amazon for nonfiction books and it beat out sales of books released by former Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama as well as former Secretary of Hillary Clinton preceding their presidential runs.

As the governor wrote in his book, “Florida has stood as an antidote to America’s failed ruling class” and there is a reason why establishment Republicans and progressives alike have continued to take aim at him before he has even announced his intent to seek the highest office in the land.
