‘I’m starting to lose my patience’: Watters frustrated by underwhelming House GOP ‘nothingburgers’

Fox News host Jesse Watters is “annoyed” with the Republican-controlled House and its failure to produce the “bombshells” it promised to the American people.

On Friday’s broadcast of “Primetime,” Watters slammed the GOP lawmakers for working fewer hours than President Joe Biden, who has spent much of his term vacationing in Delaware.

“We love these guys, but I just checked the calendar and it’s already March,” Watters noted. “Republicans have had the House since January. Why haven’t we had a hearing on the Biden crime family?”

From following up on the testimony of Biden whistleblower, Tony Bobulinski, to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s alleged cover-up of “150 suspicious red flag wires that went into Biden’s bank accounts,” to the lies Dr. Anthony Fauci told about the origins of COVID-19, to the fake “whipping” story pushed by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, to the fentanyl flowing across our open border with Mexico, Watters wants to know why the House GOP is dragging its collective feet.

“I haven’t seen a single guy sweating under the bright lights,” he stated. “Are we gonna drill down on anything? Are we going to see anybody squirm and cough up the truth or at least plead the fifth or something so that we can start showering these goons with subpoenas? Where are the bombshells? Have the investigations even started?”

As the House enters its third month of majority control — an advantage that Americans simply can not afford to see squandered — Watters revealed that the lawmakers have “only been in session for 22 days this year.”

“They spent four days fighting over the speaker. And so really, they’ve only had 18 days of real work,” the host said. “In February, they worked eight days.”

“Guys, I know that’s a short month,” Watters acknowledged, “but it’s not that short.”

“If their schedule holds up, this isn’t even a part-time job,” he continued. “We’re paying these guys almost $200,000 [a year] and they have a lighter schedule than Biden. We ran the numbers. Biden has worked more days than Congress.”

The results of their less-than-exhaustive efforts thus far have been underwhelming.

“All we have gotten was an investigation into [N.Y. Republican Rep.] George Santos’ tall tale, right?” Watters said. “And don’t worry, the House ethics office is also working on figuring out if AOC may have broken a rule for that Met Gala dress.”

As he spoke, a chyron across the bottom of the screen screamed, “Probes have been a nothingburger.”

Indeed, as American Wire News reported, Watters isn’t the only one frustrated by the ethics probes into Reps. Santos, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), and Cori Bush (D-Mo.).

If there is one thing Americans seem to agree upon, it’s that none of the scandalous lawmakers will face any real consequences.

“As for the hearings,” Watters said, “well, they had a hearing about Twitter, and everything we found out, we already knew because of Elon Musk.”

“And then they had a hearing about the border,” he continued, “but Mayorkas wasn’t even there. And then they had a hearing about the FBI, but the FBI director didn’t show up. Instead, Tulsi Gabbard testified. Now, we love Tulsi, but is she an FBI agent?”

“I’m starting to lose my patience a little,” Watters announced. “And this is coming from a place of love.”

“‘Primetime’ is a nice guy,” the host stated. “But ‘Primetime’ is annoyed.”
