The world has a number of incredibly important issues that should be addressed, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t time for Twitter users to ponder those little things in life.
Like, for instance, why President Joe Biden and his wife, first lady Jill Biden, would order the exact same dish at a restaurant in February? Jessica Sidman, food editor at the Washingtonian, noted that the Bidens dined at The Red Hen and ordered identical pasta dishes.
Why does anyone care? We’re baffled too.
“Here’s what the Bidens had for dinner tonight at [The Red Hen]: grilled bread with cultured butter, chicory salad, 2 orders of rigatoni with fennel sausage ragu (their signature dish), plus a couple glasses of Barbera,” Sidman tweeted

While this isn’t the most riveting piece of journalism, culinary or otherwise, for some unexplained reason, it still got people buzzing on social media.
Some people thought it was strange that a couple would order the exact same dish, after all, who doesn’t like trying each other’s food? Others say it’s totally normal, especially if both people happen to love the same dish.

Guys I 100% order the same dish as my fiancé because I’ll be damned if I don’t get the food I want just because he wants it too

Going double on the rigatoni is fucking amateur hour.

Missed opportunity to not get two different entrees to share.

Respect for the double order!

To be honest, he won’t remember what he ordered anyway.. but it makes no difference to me if they order the same thing.

Coming from someone who forces every restaurant to be “small plates” style because I want to share every menu item, anyone criticizing this particular order has clearly never actually had the Red Hen ragu. Their only mistake is not ordering a third for dessert. https://t.co/wwzRNEYMSc

I have honestly never heard of a couple – married or otherwise – who order the EXACT same at a restaurant.#Biden https://t.co/r1mStxrQbv

There are 2 types of couples in this world: those who order the same dish at a restaurant and those who would never ever dare… I would definitely glare at my husband if he ordered the same thing as me because obviously we need to try as much of the menu as possible! https://t.co/35KbHafvXh

Seriously! The whole point is to try more things!
— Erin (@erpdc) February 19, 2023
I find it so annoying when my wife insists on me deciding what to order so that she can decide what to order. Those two things are not related and do not need to be sequenced!
