While much of the political world is convinced that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is running for president, the popular Republican has yet to declare such ambitions.
One thing is certain, DeSantis is the center of attention in the eyes of many, be it his battle to rid Florida schools of woke politics and near-pornographic content pushing queer theory, or the much anticipated heavyweight battle with Donald Trump, should the governor throw his hat in the ring.
Currently on a media tour to promote his new book, “The Courage to Be Free,” DeSantis has earned yet another headline — his tome hit No. 1 on the Top 100 list of Amazon on the first day of its release, which may be more than some of his critics can take.
Make America Florida.
“Ron DeSantis says he sees his record as Florida governor as a model for the rest of the country in a new book that comes out ahead of a widely expected campaign for president in 2024,” the Wall Street Journal noted while reporting on the No. 1 ranking.
“Florida has stood as an antidote to America’s failed ruling class,” DeSantis wrote in his book.
DeSantis is taking hits from all sides, including from the former president, who is clearly concerned about his potential in 2024, the rabid opposition almost rivals the derangement that Trump sees. All of this being a good indication of how much the opposition fears DeSantis.
And book sales predictions suggest they have good reason to be concerned:
Ron DeSantis’s book may have the biggest first week of sales for any book by a sitting politician or presidential hopeful. It’s going to be bigger than the first week of sales for Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and maybe even Barack Obama. Anyone else I should look up?

Meanwhile, as DeSantis said during an appearance this week on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Prime Time,” he’s busy putting points on the board and is not paying attention to all the background noise:

As for the background noise, here’s a quick sampling of critics’ responses to his No. 1 book from Twitter:
A real journalist would have dug into who actually bought those books to drive that number

In other news, it’s reported that Florida has replaced all the books in public elementary schools with Governor DeSantis’ new book. The old books will be used to power waste-to-energy facilities throughout the state.

Pushing to limit free speech, and then weaken the freedoms afforded to a business that fought against that action. You know, the courage to be that sort of “Free”.

I’m sure 80% of those sales were purchased by his Presidential campaign. Color me unimpressed, we’ve seen this scam before.

I predict there will be a lot of people clamoring to get their money back for this tripe.
